Chris Brentin has a multitude of experience in different settings. Chris has worked with a range of clients, including young adults, and people from culturally diverse backgrounds. He has worked for a number of years in private practice, disability services and injury management and rehabilitation.
He is passionate about helping young people with disabilities to understand their emotions and providing support to their families. Chris also enjoys assisting individuals with vocational issues, change management, anger management and confidence building, motivation and self-esteem. Chris Brentin has extensive experience working with, work related issues, relationship issues, employment assistance counselling and CTP claims (motor vehicle injuries and work related injuries including report writing for your solicitor).
Techniques
Chris uses a variety of therapy techniques that are tailored to assist with client’s presenting issues. Chris uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to help people improve unwanted behaviours by changing the thought processes behind them. Chris also uses Mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as an effective way to treat symptoms of anxiety and depression, increase self-awareness, reduce stress and manage pain.
Chris Brentin has experience working with couples.
Chris Brentin is also a qualified accredited mediator. Mediation services are provided within a co- mediation model for any personal or workplace issue.
